Rotary Meeting on April 14th 2011

Our speaker today was Past President Jerry Coleman who spoke about the Religious Community Services’ Food Bank. The workings of the Food Bank and the situation among Pinellas County’s hungry were discussed. Volunteers to help at the Food Bank are greatly needed and would be appreciated.

President Elect Joan Tobey spoke about the “Paddle to the Party to End Polio Now” fundraiser. She said that it was a success and there was great fellowship shown among the volunteers. She was particularly impressed with the participation of the many new Rotary volunteers.

Club Director Rob Haddad announced that Friday, May 6th , members are invited to join fellow Rotarians in enjoying a performance of “Arsenic and Old Lace” at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center. There will also be a members only get together beforehand so talk to Ron Haddad if you are interested.
