Committees

It’s through the work of club committees that a Rotary club provides service to its community, retains members, and develops leaders for the club, district, and Rotary International.

Whether you’re a new or returning club committee member, here are several resources that you may find helpful. Current Tarpon Springs Rotary Club Committees:

• Administration Committee – Conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the club.
• Budget Committee – Assist president-elect in developing a budget for the upcoming rotary year.
• Group Study Exchange Committee – Assists the district in hosting group study exchange teams from other countries during their stay in our district.
• Membership Committee – Develops and implements an action plan for recruiting, retaining, and educating club members.
• Paddle to the Party to End Polio Now – Plan and organize the new fundraising event to raise money for the Polio Plus Program to eradicate polio worldwide.
• Pancake Supper Committee – Plan and organize the annual fundraising event to benefit Rotary projects including Boys and Girls club.
• Public Relations Committee – Inform the public about Rotary and promote our club’s service projects and activities.
• Rotary Foundation Committee – Develop and implement a plan to support the Foundation through program participation and financial contributions through community and international service.
• Service Projects Committee – Help develop and implement educational, humanitarian, and vocational service projects that help our community and communities in other countries.
• Triathlon Committee – Plan and organize the annual Sprint Triathlon fundraising event that is held each Fall.
• Website Committee – Maintains the TarponRotary.org domain and keeps the web content current and accurate based on club needs.
• Wine Tasting Committee – Plan and organize the the annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction fundraising event held in at the start of the new year.

Club committees are charged with carrying out the club’s long-range and annual goals. Each Rotary club has different needs and will establish committees to suit them. New members are encouraged to select one or committees on which to serve.
